Vacation yet?

We are getting ready to go to South Carolina (Charleston) and Georgia (Savannah) next week to do mini family reunion with all of Jason’s family.  It should be loads of fun.  I have never been to either state so I am looking forward to it.   We have a 70s costume theme party one night so I am off to the mall tonight to try and find a real good outfit.    Can’t wait to post some pictures when we get back.

We had such a fun time up in Idyllwild.  Good food, good times and just good company.

We were having lots of fun on our balcony dealing with squirrels dropping pine cones on us and some gold old fashion card games.

A good day in SD...

Can I complain about the high heats today?? NO!!  I have had the best day ever.  Hit up the beach and got to relax and soak up the sun.  Got a call from my sis.  She got off work early and came downtown and we went to my fav. place, Cafe Chloe and sipped on some great french white wine.  We had amazing conversation and good company.  THEN…. got to come home jam to some old skool hip hop and cook some bomb ass dinner for some good friends who will be arriving later this evening. What a great TGIF for me!!

I did it! I did it!! Sky diving that is! It was one of the most amazing experiences. I cannot even type or describe this experience. What a trip being 13,000 feet in the air and going up to 120 mph free falling!! I have to admit I was scared and nervous in the plane but once the door was opened and it was my turn I was ready to go go go!! Can’t wait to post pics and video soon.
Thanks Jason, Steph, Eric, Rich and Glenn for coming out to Jamul to support me on a new adventure.

The Cure x 2

We headed up to LA last weekend to see The Cure at the Shrine Auditorium.   What a great show.   Got up to LA on Sunday afternoon and bummed around Hollywood for a few hours before the show.  Headed to the Shrine around 7pm to see The Cure do a rave performance.  What a great experience!!  The performed for 3 HOURS!!  Jason was very happy.  I was just happy to be at the show with the love of my life.  We decided to skip driving home (over two hours) and get a hotel.  We had to make a 1am stop at Ihop and share a tasty breakfast before we hit the snack.  I think we were both wired from the show and it took quite sometime to fall asleep.

Next day Jason headed to Ameba Music I bummed around at some organic coffee shop to kill some time gabbing on the phone and reading the local indie paper.  After Jason spent an hour or so we were off to Sprinkles to pick up the best cupcakes ever.  Seriously they were the best.  You know they are good when you pay 36 for a dozen cupcakes.  Yup that is right 36 freakin’ dollars but it was well worth it.

We then headed to another Cure show on Tuesday in San Diego at Cox Arena.  Another great performance.  It was definitely a bigger crowd.  The Shrine only held 6,000 as opposed to Cox Arena which hold about 16,000 to 18,000 peeps.

The Cure, The End.

Trip to good Ol' Boise!

Decided on Monday to fly in to Boise to visit family.  Arrived on Wednesday.  Now that is a short notice for a trip but well worth it.  Had such a fabulous time with all my family.

So I got in on Wednesday morning to be greeted at the airport by G-MA.  We headed straight to Ms. Tami’s Tearoom.  Had a good Chai Tea and some yummy sour cream enchiladas.  We also headed to the mall to browse around.  G-ma got me an amazing mixing bowl set and a spring form from William Sonoma for our wedding gift.   Headed back home to have a homemade dinner thanks to G-ma and a few games of Sequence with my cousin Stephen.

Next day we got up had some coffee and headed to Glow Day spa for some really nice pedicures.  The ladies were so nice and it was just nice to do girlie things my my G-ma.  We headed back to the mall because I just had to by Grandma some Orgins face wash.  It really is the best!!  After that we headed back home and I cooked dinner for Gma and my Aunt Lisa.  We got all caught up on life and watched Survivor.

Friday AM we headed to my favorite coffe joint in Eagle called Rembrandts.  We just gabbed and gabbed for hours.  I bought a cute mug that was handmade by the owners so every time I have a good cup of Joe I can think about that place.  Grandma decided to try and sell me on Boise and took me the cutest town called Hidden Creek.  It is a new developement and I love it.  We looked at about seven model homes and they were cute affordable and did I say cute?  I am ready to pack up and move.  After that we had to make a pit stop and Starbucks so I could get some caffeine to get rid of my headache.  I cheated!!! I have not been drinking coffee for four weeks, oh well.  Next stop, downtown Boise to meet my cousin Jerrett for lunch.

We spotted and Urban Outfitter and I HAD to go.  I ended up buying a dress, two tank tops and a hoodie (had a gift card from my dad) in under 20 minutes!  It was so much fun.  Walked across the street and met up with Jerrett.  It was really nice to see him and it was so nice for him to make time for his cousin.  I am working and getting him to come visit SD. COME ON JERRETT!!!!   COME SURF WITH ME!!!

Next stop was Great Grandma Mason and Aunt Jackie.  We arrived at the house and Great Grandma was getting a manicure.  She maybe in her 90s but she still needs her girl time :)  It was so nice to catch up and try some Frienship bread.  What a nice sweet treat.

We were just beat and headed home to get in our PJs and veg.  Aunt Debbie and Aunt Lisa came over for an hour or two and that was nice to veg and chat.  Love you guys!!!

Saturday was my last day :(  We hung out at the house in the morning and then headed to the airport around 10:30 . Stopped at a diner to have some grub and then off to the airport for me.  I had such a great time and love seeing all my family.  Maybe one day I can convince Jason to move to Boise.  I love that city.
